ChopLife SoundSystem & Mr Eazi – Chop Life, Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles (Album)

The debut album from Mr. Eazi‘s brand-new pan-African music group, “Chop Life, Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles,” transports listeners to South Africa. Mr. Eazi is a superstar artist, entrepreneur, and music sensation.

The mixtape’s 14 songs go deeply into the South African dance music style known as amapiano, which has subsequently spread around the world to become one of the most exciting and well-known new music genres. It was discovered between Cape Town and Johannesburg between 2022 and 2023. Along with a number of up-and-coming artists, the project features prominent South African musicians including Moonchild Sanelly, Focalistic, Ami Faku, and Major League Djz.

In “Choplife Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles,” Mr. Eazi, a Nigerian-born musician, introduces ChopLife SoundSystem for the first time. The word “choplife” is a West African pidgin expression that means “enjoy life,” and it also refers to the traditional sound systems that are the foundation of dancehall music culture.

Mr. Eazi performs a great deal of the vocals for ChopLife Records. In addition, he serves as the label’s Minister of Enjoyment (MC) during live performances where he is joined by resident selector DJ Edu, a well-known DJ from BBC Radio, as well as other bands and DJs. Mr. Eazi continues, “I’m going back to where I started from when I was hosting the biggest parties at university.” With this master of ceremonies job. That’s how I got my start in singing.
